35 Years Experience
With over 28 years of experience at Credit Suisse First Boston in Finance, Administration and Operations, Stanley Zareff, Vice President, Internal Communications, brings to the organization a history of understanding and embracing change. Stanley is currently the co-chairman of CSFB’s Open Network, LGBT Diversity network, in which he is a founding member of the Steering Committee.
He played a leading role in some of the Open Network's most successful events, such as the Pride Event for the Hetrick Martin Institute, which featured an appearance by Hilary Swank; the June Pride 2004 event at which Congressman Barney Frank and Elizabeth Birch of HRC appeared at CSFB; Judy Shephard as keynote speaker for a pride event and most recently, Billie Jean King who spoke firm wide at CSFB on Diversity issues in the workplace.
A winner of this year's One CSFB Award, Stanley keeps the firm up to date on the many activities hosted by Diversity & Inclusion, and is an editorial member of CSFB’s renowned Interface newsletter where he covers events. He also wrote “Literally Speaking” for the January 2005 issue of WORTH magazine discussing his presentation skill techniques.
Stanley, a Vice President in FA&O, earned a One CSFB Award for his efforts to enhance the firm's culture, most notably through the Open Network, which represents lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.
Throughout Stanley's career at CSFB, he has been dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion activities within the firm. Stanley served as an ambassador and visionary for diversity issues long before CSFB had a diversity department or specific programs in place. Through his tenacious and relentless efforts in tearing down barriers between employees and in building a stronger sense of community and morale within CSFB's culture, Stanley has helped to bring an awareness of these issues to the firm. He has consistently promoted respect and dignity among employees.
Stanley is also involved in numerous philanthropic activities where he serves as Secreaty of the Board of Trustees for New York City’s Lower East Side Service Center, a not-for-profit social services agency, and has recently joined the Board of Trustees for the highly acclaimed Urban Stages theater company in New York City which produces works by diverse playwrights to outreach teen audiences in the 5 boroughs of the city.
